【论文摘要】  意象是情感化的物象,是诗人通过语言对感知对象的再现。中国古典诗歌蕴涵着丰富的意象。因此,古典汉诗翻译中“意美”的内涵不应仅局限于“意义美”,还应包括“意象美”这一更高层次的文艺美学与诗美概念。尽管古汉诗词中的意象美的重要意义已被大多数译者所认同,但是到目前为止,有关意象的翻译研究还非常欠缺,大多侧重于对原文文本的研究,侧重于译文意象与原诗意象之对比,追求译诗相对于原诗的对等的标准译本;或拘泥于原文意象可译性的不休之争论,很少涉及译者的能动作用。意象翻译仍然还存在以下问题:一是译象(翻译意象)与译意(翻译其意)的矛盾问题;二是文化意象的归化与异化的矛盾问题;三是意象美与诗歌形式美之选的矛盾问题。 本文认为,采用接受理论,将为解决这些问题、传达古典汉诗中的意象建立起一座成功的桥梁,因为一切翻译的质量的最终评判标准将是读者对译作的接受程度。JamesHolmes(1988)将翻译过程分为两步:解码接受过程与编码再造过程。第一步是译者以原作的读者的身份阅读原作、通过视野融合、解码接受原作的过程,译者的先在知识结构和文本的意义的不确定性可能影响到译者对原文文本的理解。因此,在此过程,译者必须加强自身的...
